Pablo Veliz — Director

Writer and Director Pablo Veliz graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a degree in communication. At age 22, Véliz wrote, directed, produced, and edited his first feature film, La Tragedia de Macario, which was selected in the 2006 Sundance Film Festival and several other prestigious festivals. Later that year, Laguna Films in Los Angeles acquired the award winning film for North and South American distribution. All of Veliz's films have US and international distribution.

Stephen Villela — Producer

Producer Stephen Villela graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word with a degree in Music and Communication Arts. Villela has been a part of the CineVeliz team since the beginning. Starting his career in audio production, Villela has since become an all around filmmaker being able to take on any role on set. Today, Villela teaches a Video Production course at Communications Arts High School and continues to work as a freelance filmmaker in the San Antonio area. Aside from filmmaking, Villela also works in technical theatre specializing in sound and lighting design.

Alex Walker — DP

Alex Walker started his career working on local commercials for the South Texas market at the age of 15. Interested in learning all he could about filmmaking, Alex did background work on Friday Night Lights and My Generation where he discovered a passion for camera work and lighting. While attending the University of Texas at Austin, Alex picked up as many freelance camera and editing jobs as he could, which eventually lead to his first job as Director of Photography on an independent feature film.

Carolyn King—Art Director

Carolyn King graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a degree in Fine Art Photography. Her passion for creativity in photography lead her to explore the film media and she counts Pablo and the crew at Cineveliz as incubators to her curiosity. Carolyn's experience in filming is multifaceted, working comfortably behind the camera in any area from producing to wardrobe and even script supervising. She is a dedicated actor, as well as event photographer, and conceptual artist.

Shane Leal-Willett — Intern

Shane Leal-Willett is one of the newer members to the CineVeliz team, starting off first by working with his teacher and fellow filmmaker, Stephen Villela. For the past two years, Shane has worked tirelessly on multiple video projects with Villela and other local filmmakers, working different roles, absorbing and applying his experiences to better himself as a learning filmmaker.
