Una película sobre el 'Dream Act'

La historia muestra la lucha de estudiantes por estar legalmente en EU y estudiar.

My Sister and I (Pablo Veliz) talk about the Dream Act on Despierta America. Here, we also talk about our film Cartoneo y Nopalitos that touches on the subject of the Dream Act. Thank you for all those who keep and open mind, and keep the Dream alive for so many students and young professionals who face this current social barrier.

I recently visited Breckenridge High School in San Antonio to show my film CYN to a class of seniors. In that class, there was a handful of students who were faced with the same situation as the film's story tells. They shared with me that they were afraid of their uncertain future, and their frustration from living in the shadows. This is why I make films. This is what inspires me... that we would be faced with knowing that our dreams would be deffered, yet we charge forward, we educate ourselves, and we work hard like our parents reared us to. We will be part of history.

Never give up. Never Surrender
